A Winter Silhouette

A great thing about having a shop is that you can work on your own ideas and turn them into classes!

This is one of my designs for a Christmas class called A Winter Silhouette - an appliqu├ęd wall panel for the festive season.

This is a close up of the free machined snowflakes and the free motion quilting.

It was great fun to make and I can't wait to share it - we just have to pick a date!

  2. Sarah that's lovely - such a fresh take on a somewhat familiar theme. Well done!

  3. I particularly like the sky in this piece - do you dye your own fabrics?

  4. Thanks for your comments ladies. Gilli - this is a commercially available fabric from a range called perfect palette by Fabric Freedom. I love it as it only costs £7.99 a metre and has that rich hand dyed look you mention. I prefer it to others like Moda Marbles as I think it looks more "hand created"!
